The Perpetual Storytelling Apparatus is a machine created by Julius Von Bismarck and Benjamin Maus. That continually draws a never ending story through illustrating American patents.

The machine translates words from a story into patent technical drawings, and through the references in the 'prior art' section links patent to patent and draws the illustrations from each one, creating a continuous drawing. Through the random selection of images a narrative can be created and followed through visual depictions of technological developments. It would be amazing to see what this machine spits out as and the stories and combinations of images that could be made.
